TWO DAYS!

Today was a good day!!!

After work, I went for drinks with my patternmaker Dganit and her other intern Kasia.  Kasia didn't stay long but it was fun.

We went to the Bubble Lounge which is in tribeca and really close to ZP.  Basically two blocks away. They had great drinks and awesome finger foods.  It was so expensive though!!! And she paid!  SO nice of her.

Anyways, we basically talked for a couple hours about background information and where she grew up and what-not.  We talked a lot about the company and it really made me realize that I am totally going to miss being there.  Like I said before the people are so nice there.

It became so familar to me and now I'm going back to school... ? Bleh.

Anyways... outfit. very plain.

Grey tank from UO
Necklace from Charlotte Russe
Vintage black leather belt
Hand-sewn/own design on a simple black skirt
anddd my Nine West snake skin flats.

Those poor flats are getting worn out!

Thats all!

Outfit:

Black shorts from H & M
Rose ruffle tank from UO
Black knit vest from UO
& black flats from some random store in nyc.

Very simple.

So Mom's visit was fun.  Packed up a lot of stuff.  My closets are so bare and so is my room in general.

I cooked breakfast this morning for us and it was so good. We went to the MET, skipped out on the sample sale, walked around in SOHO, had dinner and then visited the Chocolate Room for desert.  SO GOOD.

I am so full I feel like I have a food baby.

So there's only 2 more days at work and 3 more days here in the city.  It went so freaken fast.

Well I can't really say anymore... I have stuff to pack and things to clean!

hey senorita

So yes, I know this is a normal picture of me and not a funny face.  Plus like I mentioned yesterday my photobooth is continually making my photos grainy and such... oh well.  Maybe I should upgrade???

Yeah... since I have so much money...

So there was an open Sex and the City casting call today for the sequel.  I wanted to go but there was no way I could leave my internship.  I would have felt to bad.

So I sent in my information and hopefully if I feel like it, I'll bother them until I get a response or I'll just take the rejection like a champ. :)

Anywho... My outfit for today:

Red pleated knit skirt from my mother's youth,
Sheer black ruffle blouse,
Report gladiator sandals,
Gold vintage belt,
Gold necklace which I believe Lia Sophia calls the "senorita",
& my grandmother's diamond ring (which I didn't take a close-up of. But its beautiful.

If you look real close in the last picture where I'm holding my "senorita" you can kinda see it.

On another note:
I'm really going to miss interning at ZP.  All the interns and all the employees are so freaken nice.  Its a fun internship and I really learned so much about the industry.  It was an amazing experience.

My mom is coming tomorrow, on her birthday (HAPPY BIRTHDAY),  to spend some time in the city and also take some of and hopefully a lot of my stuff home.  I have most of my things packed and I'm still packing my clothes and slowly cleaning my apartment as I go.  Its just so sad.

Mom and I are planning to go to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, an Alexander McQueen sample sale, and then we're going to walk around til dinner.  After that she's going back home.

I made her muffins as a substitute for a birthday cake. :) Plus I plan on cooking her breakfast tomorrow when she gets here.

SPEAKING OF FOOD!  I made a delicious dinner again tonight: Mandarin Orange Chicken.  OH MY GOD! So good.  It was sweet with a little tang... mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

And I believe thats all folks!

Last week...

So I don't know why my photobooth pictures are fuzzy... but oh well.

Short and Sweet post:

Again I didn't take pictures last week.

Matt, a friend from home, came to visit.  Had a lot of fun.

Wore this outfit on wednesday.
(Homemade ankle boots, black tights, flower wristlet, black skort, and a gray ruffle tank from Forever 21)

Had cute outfits all weekend but I was busy entertaining my guest.

Said goodbye to my downstairs neighbor Danielle :( .
Packed a lot.

Cleaned.

Saw a cabaret on off broadway.  Two thumbs up :D.

So its my last week in NYC for the summer and last week at ZAC POSEN!  There I said it.

Phew what a relief.

Thats all.

too long

So Its been way too long since I last posted.  And I don't like that.  To be honest though I've been spending my time not on the computer surfing the internet.  Going out more, not drinking, but walking around doing things.  But I have been watching Grey's Anatomy like its my job. I have no idea why... I just am.  So Matt, he's kinda a cool guy ;), is coming on thursday to visit.  He's leaving Sunday and my mom is coming Sunday for the night.  So I know I don't have to clean for him... but I have to clean for her... and pack. Man, I can't believe this summer in NYC is over.  I have 12 days left. 12!!!  :( I'm really sad.  I think its mostly because I didn't get to enjoy the city as much as I wanted.  At-least I had a kick ass internship and great experience.  Fun while it lasted!!!

So anyways, here are two outfit posts... both not that exciting.

First one is a plain black tank, with my cross necklace, Zac Posen Skirt and Marc by Marc Jacobs shoes.  Of course they aren't pictured.  and I look like a cow in these but whatever

Second one is plain mustard yellow tank with knit vest from UO, black shorts from H & M, Cross necklace, bangals and chains with my Report gladiator sandals.

Yes my room WAS that messy.  But its not any more... I promise.  But it probably will be in about a day so I'm not promising anything.

I really haven't been dressing up at all lately because I'm so tired in the morning... I think all this moving stress is getting to me!

I did wear some reasonable things but since its like 90 degrees and humid I take my clothes off once I get into my room.

Anyways, Its Laura's 21st birthday today! WHOOT! Too bad I have work at 9 :'(.

Oh and I'm working on my online portfolio. Completely different than what it is now.  I'll let you know when its done!

great weekend... plus two more days

So on Wednesday I got to see my best friend Danielle!!!  I haven't seen her in ages actually and it was so much fun to hang out with her in the city.

So these pictures are a little bit out of order but thats ok!

The first is a lovely scan of what my purse had at the end of the night on thursday.  Left with $40 came back with $5....

Went to a couple bars in the Village {the bitter end
and wacky wild willy's} don't really know.... but it doesn't matter to me.  It was a good time.

Here's a great picture to sum up our happiness before we went out.

I didn't wear anything to great at all just skinny jeans a black and white leopard tank and a grey shawl.

and Dani wore black capri trousers, a white tank and vest.

one last outfit pic for you...

this was at the end of our night when we waited for the subway to come... it took so long it was ridiculous.  but the freaken ceilings need to be fixed they are nasty.

look how beautiful!
we both were extremely tired at this point.

oh this is inside that ____ willy's place.

danielle is very excited to be in there.  It was karaoke and some of the songs that were sung were god-awful just like any other karaoke night but eclipse of the heart was a crowd favorite and i had that stuck in my head for a long long time.

This is a picture of the performer we listened to.  Beautiful voice. Sounded a little like Janis.  The bitter end was a great place to go but we wanted to get wild and this wasn't a place to go to do that.

But she was good. She handed out cards and if you want to listen to her go to
www.alessiaguarneraonline.com
or
myspace.com/alessiaguarnera

Here's some pictures of the food we ate on thursday before we went out... told you my pictures are out of order.

the presentation of the food was so cute i had to take a picture of the plate.

they made flowers out of carrots for us!!!!

The morning after wasn't bad at all.  No hangover what-so-ever.
Made some great scrambled eggs and toast then headed out to go shopping for a dress to wear to a wedding on saturday. Meanwhile Danielle took amazing photos with her $1800 camera and I tried with my little panasonic camera... :( oh well.

So I wore my Marc by Marc Jacobs shoes to shop in and nothing of my outfit really mattered but these so heres a picture!!!

This was a great act of vandalism if you ask me. Anything involving harry potter is gold. I cannot wait to see the movie!!!!!

so dress shopping was hell. worst experience ever.  Could not find anything that was remotely appropriate and something that I actually liked.  So I ended up borrowing this dress from my downstairs neighbor and it worked beautifully with my marc by marc jacobs black and steel grey heels. :)

THANK YOU DANIELLE!!!

and thats all.

sorry if it was boring!!!!

Smith Street Fair?

So today there was a fair on Smith Street which is one of the main roads in Carroll Gardens.  I had to work so I enjoyed the festivities from inside.  Music, drunk people, kids running around screaming... fun time.

:)

So i decided to wear something other than a t-shirt to work and thats why i'm posting it.

Razorback tunic with sequence details on bottom from Forever 21 along with a studded high-waist belt from Forever 21, black flats and black leggings.  Thank god I didn't wear actual pants it was so freaking hot in there.

In another note I'm amazed at what men in NYC decide to say when they think your attractive.  I already got some crude things but the funniest thing until day was "God bless you you're beautiful"... sweet... but today I got "GOD BLESS AMERICA" shouted at me...??? ok... thanks?

Why do men think that its ok to say whatever the hell they want to women and what the hell goes threw their mind when they say "God bless America"???

Dumb.

Well I'm going to get a drink with my friend Katherine and then head to bed! Night!!!
